One last post

It's been a fun thanks for staying with us over this semester and I hope you had as much fun watching The Weekly Moose as we did making it.

Thank You!

I would like to thank you all for watching The Weekly Moose this semester! You all made it a very enjoyable experience for me and the rest of us at The Weekly Moose and hope that some of you will try it next semester and next year. Once again thank you!

Zach Final Blog

Well I would have to say that this class was a lot of fun. I think it was a great learning experience. It was good for me to be part of a class working with cameras. I have never been very good about cameras but this class helped get me on one. I thought it was good. I hope that this class will continue for students in the future because I think its informative and it tells people what is happening in a interesting way. Also I would just like to say Good Bye to The Weekly Moose and look forward to seeing it again.

Final Vlog

Farewell

Well this is good bye. Today was our final day filming for the moose. It has been a great semester. Soon we might make a highlight video of all our funny moments on The Moose. I hope someone decides to take over the moose so it can keep going. Hopefully it's someone with a sense of humor.

Death of the Moose

So this is the last official week of the Weekly Moose. We haven't been notified of any further continuation of it as of yet. I will be a little bummed about the "Death of the Moose", but you can prevent that! By opting to take this class as an independent study with Mr. Lembke, you can dedicate one hour of school a day to filming and producing the Weekly Moose. If you choose to do so, you should also realize that a lot of the Weekly Moose is filmed on our own time, and not during class time. It's not a project you can just do the minimum requirements and still enjoy it. Effort must be put into it to make it good. I'm hoping there is still some of you out there willing to participate in the Weekly Moose. If not, have a great second semester (: and goodbye, from the Weekly Moose.

School Ghost

Well we didn't find that much hard evidence in the ghost investigation. We have debunked alot of theories but you will have to find out on the ghost video once we post it. Thanks

The Results Are In!

As you all should know, we had a survey going on asking students, teachers, staff members, community members and other members from around the world their opinions about The Weekly Moose. And as you might not know, next semester there is no Video Production class. Thank you to all that participated in the survey, because we got input so we now know that continuing The Weekly Moose is a definite possibility. :)

Here are the results!

Of 100 people who took the survey,

96% were students, 2% were teachers, 1% was a staff member, 1% was a community member, and 1% was in the "other" category.

97% of those who took the survey said that The Weekly Moose is something they enjoy watching.

Also, 97% say that they prefer The Weekly Moose over listening to Mr. Indihar announce the bulletin over the intercom.

97% said that The Weekly Moose should continue to be produced, 2% said it shouldn't, and 1% said it wouldn't matter either way.

Here's what some people had to say:

"In the beginning you guys had some more humor-related stuff, I miss that! Even though it doesn't really have a whole lot to do with the actual news you're trying to convey, it gave the show a little more personality."

"I think the Weekly Moose is a great way to get the announcements, but I like when its funnier and more entertaining too."

We had a lot of requests to make The Weekly Moose longer. Trust me, if we could, we would!! But we have certain rules to go by. Third hour is specifically made longer so that we can have that extra 5 to 10 minutes to go through the announcements. If we go any longer than 5 minutes, it's cutting into class time!

Thanks again to everyone who took the survey, and thank you to everyone who continues to watch and support The Weekly Moose! It is greatly appreciated!

Almost Over

The quarter is almost over and there is still one very large looming question the Weekly Moose must ask all of you. Did you enjoy it? With the end of the quarter means the end of video production, and unless you say you enjoy us, the Weekly Moose. So now we ask something of you, to take a survey and express how you felt about our broadcast. If you all enjoy it, we will try and find some people to volunteer to do it during the next semester, if not, it will go back to Mr. Indihar every Monday morning, so we would like you all to voice your opinions and tell us what you want!

Food banned

In a recent turn of events. Our work rate is slowing down. I believe at has to do with a limited food intake in the early hours of the day (first hour). Our CEO has restricted us from eating or drinking back in the offices of the Weekly Moose. I feel that it was mostly due to our assistant Trevor leaving all of his wrappers everywhere. We will have to eat more prior to coming to The Moose from now on.

School Ghosts

One of the weeks that my group weren't assigned anything, our teacher told use to do something that will benefit the Weekly Moose. So then our group got an idea to a story on the school ghosts. The first thing we did was look up info on this school. Next we did an interview with Ms. Lyons (retired teacher) who has many ghosts stories from the school that she has experienced. Finally we did our investigation in the school with the permission from our super intendant. If you want to know what we found, you'll have to wait until it gets reviewed and finished. You will be able to see it on the Weekly Moose blog.

Trevor's blog

The Weekly Moose is going great . As the year goes on each week we seem to get a little better . Its fun to experience doing different video footage every other week. I think that its fun to switch up your role each week to see what each person is good at individually and as a group. I personally like to film and like to come up with ideas for each skit , so i would definitely say that i am a huge fan at the in depth look at as a favorite.
This is Trevor have a great weekend:).

zach's New Blog

I got to experience what is was like to be the host of the show. It was not something I was looking forward to doing because I am not a big fan of cameras or like having everyone seeing me. Maybe if I was not super tired and knew what I was doing I would have enjoyed it. For now I think we should just let the people who wanna host do it. At least thats how I look at it. Overall I enjoy the class and recommend this class to everyone. Anything you want us to try to get on the Weekly Moose or adjustments you think should be made contact us through the blog.

Thanks :)

Abe's blog 2

Recently we learned that a neighboring school (east central) is doing the same thing we are. I think it is kind of cool to compare our work to theirs. They will figure out the ins and outs as we did. It looks like don't have a time restriction like we do. Theirs definitely needs some work, they are where we started though. Not saying ours is much better but our productions show a lot more effort and work put into it. Check it out at the following link.

Sam's Vlog

First post of 2011

It's a new year and The Weekly Moose is back from a well deserved break. I was wondering if you guys did any thing fun over the break? If you did and it was legal feel free to leave a comment.

Blog 1

The Weekly Moose has been going great. Quarter 2 is coming to an end, but will it continue after into semester 2? I think there should be another video production class for semester 2. I think that the Weekly Moose is better than having the announcements monday morning. Tell us what you think at weeklymoose@gmail.com and give us any suggestions that will help the weekly moose. We could use some new ideas that we could try for the weekly moose.
